Keeping It Real

Busted at Naptime

Is it just me?

Seriously, my youngest is now 13, and I only have one other at home still, and she’s 15. We don’t have “naptime” anymore, but because they’re teens, they still squirrel themselves away to their own rooms. Since I’m supposed to be the example, I try not to stuff my face in front of them. I don’t eat Doritos right from the bag, or bowls of ice cream during the day, or candy bars when I’m sad or frustrated … where they can see me. (Moderation and self-control, Kiddoes!)

But if they’re busy feasting on the internet in their rooms … and just when I think it’s safe to indulge … BUSTED! Someone emerges and announces, “I’m hungry!” Yeah, I feel ya, Friend.
